Are you passionate about leading architectural projects from vision to reality? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where creativity meets technical expertise? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Senior Project Manager Architect.
About Us:
Identity Architects is a dynamic architectural firm dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable designs that inspire and enrich communities. We believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment where all team members' contributions are valued and respected.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager at Identity Architects, you will oversee Project Manager Teams as they lead architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of architectural expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and design preferences.
- Lead design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and concept development meetings with project stakeholders.
- Prepare project proposals, feasibility studies, and schematic designs in response to client briefs.
- Conduct site assessments, zoning analysis, and code reviews to inform design decisions.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and design reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage QAQC for project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, conflicts, and scope changes to maintain project scope and budget.
- Oversee the construction phase of projects, including contractor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
- Resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, and field modifications in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Foster positive client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and responsiveness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior PM / PM in an architectural firm or related industry, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against established goals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in the USA.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide project teams towards successful project outcomes.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed and possess a valid driver's license.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Weekly and Monthly companywide engagement activities
- Opportunities for professional development and growth within a supportive team environment.
- Individualized recognition and rewards for contributions and achievements.
- Flexible schedules and work locations
- Health, Vision, and Dental coverage
- Life insurance policies
- Retirement planning
- Wellness benefits
Traits We Value:
- A self-reliant individual who prefers working on projects with some authority but seeks outside expertise when faced with unfamiliar situations.
- Prefers tasks over people, excels in working with objects, and prefers leading small groups on specific tasks. Your management style is direct and expects quick comprehension from others.
- Thrives on completing tasks immediately and enjoys variety in work, energized by pressure. Can be easily distracted in redundant work situations.
- Assertive and visionary, seeks out problems to solve and accepts responsibility for actions. Can exhibit skepticism towards new concepts, requiring proof before acceptance.
- Behaviorally flexible with stress resistance, but extended periods of stress may lead to avoidance. May favor emotions over logic but recognizes the value of both in problem-solving.
- Capable of innovative thinking and developing new procedures. Constantly seeks improvement, occasionally delaying project completion for process enhancement.
