Health Foundation’s Heroes of Health Gala Auction
This year's auction titled
"Naturally Healthy" will be
taking place November 15, 2008 at Bell Harbor International
Conference Center and will feature a wine tasting before the
Gala Auction. They are looking for 20 family wineries to
participate in this pre-event and participation will be accepted
on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Connections Group (TCG)
is a public policy and political consultant firm, and have been
working with the Washington Health Foundation (WHF) for many
years. WHF’s mission is simple: to make Washington State the
Healthiest State in the Nation. They are currently ranked 12th.
Governor Gregoire is a strong proponent and has made this effort
a cornerstone of her re-election campaign. She was one of the
Heroes of Health designated at last year’s Gala.
They are working with the
Washington State Liquor Board to obtain an exemption, which
would allow wineries participating in the Gala Auction to sell
cases of their wine and the Health Foundation would receive 15
percent of those sales.
